Noah’s Mobile

4 March 2009 12 Comments
Noah has become mobile… he has caught onto rolling from back to belly a lot faster than the other way around. It has also made me even more conscious about the state of our flooring. The carpet – though it was deep cleaned in the summer – is filthy. It is to be expected with two dogs a dog. I’m not a neat freak by any means, but when I see him rolling across the floor, off of the blanket and onto the carpet, it just makes me cringe a little. I guess it’s time to lug the carpet cleaner back out of the basement and give the upstairs a fresher look. After all, that is why we bought the professional style Rug Doctor (I got a great deal on it at Kohl’s – it was on sale and I had another 30% off coupon, it was still expensive, but I saved almost $200!!!). His new mobility also make me realize that I need to finish baby-proofing the house within the next few days!

Our weekend trip went well and we survived being in the car for 6 hours… just the two of us… with him only crying twice for about a minute each time… once on the trip down and once coming home. I was exhausted by the time I got back home though… I didn’t sleep well Saturday night, I was in a strange bed… in an old house, in a room with dead fish on the walls… all I can say is creepy!!!

    Dead fish on the wall?

Look at him gettin’ busy with that block. Grrr!

I have to steam clean too, but it is such a pain in the caboose.

Did you say dead fish on the walls?! nope wouldn’t be able to sleep either. Love the expression on his face while he is trying to devour the block!

    Cute photo!

I’m about to blow up our vaccum from using it so much. We live with my in laws, they own 11…yes 11 BIG dogs. They shed so much everytime they come in the house. I am constantly vaccuming the fur up. I have a 7 month old that likes to scoot backwards on the floor and my 20 month old is constantly rolling on the ground too!

Wow, he did really good on the trip. I do not look forward to car rides with my little ones. I have a hard time sleeping away from home, too.

I used to do the blanket thing with Nico too! And the carpet wasn’t dirty (yet. it is now, but that’s Nico’s fault). But I always put him on a blanket like ti was his own little space in the living room. That is a really cute picture. Very exciting time! And it only gets better!

okay dead fish?….really?…eww….and it’s so fun to see them getting more mobile….I sometimes miss when my Noah was just rolling…now he crawls and gets into everything…especially the dog’s water bowl….so it stays up a lot…poor puppies….

Ooh mama – watch out! Baby proofing is an ongoing process for me! I never seem to have it all done! Luckily my “baby” is 2, and not so much baby proofing necessary!
