Los Lobos Goes DisneyI have loved Disney movies for as long as I can remember… I love them so much that I started buying and collecting the DVD’s for my children to watch, long before I even had any!!

It naturally goes unsaid that while watching a Disney movie you have to sing along to the songs… I mean whats the point of watching if you can’t participate ;) Rarely would you find me singing the songs to Disney movies though without the movie actually running in the background… until recently that is.

You see I was recently given the chance to review a new CD that Los Lobos is releasing today… it’s called Los Lobos Goes Disney and as hinted in the title is filled with songs from Disney movies that we grew up with.

Now I will admit – though I know the words to the first song Heigh-Ho, as sung in Snow White, I wasn’t able to sing along with the CD, because this version was in Spanish (also the only Spanish language song on the CD). There were also one or two songs that I didn’t recognize right away, but after having listened to the album dozens of times now (Noah loves it!), they are old friends of mine. ;) I have a lot of fun listening to Los Lobos Goes Disney… dancing along with Noah… or just by myself (as witnessed by my husband this weekend while we were trying to get ready to leave the house – he may or may not have called me the crazy dancing lady in front of our son lol)

Los Lobos puts a little twist to the original songs by adding a bit of a South of the Border beat to them – I wasn’t sure how much I would like it at first, but after having listened to the album (over and over and over again), I must say that I really like it.
