Thanks for stopping by again! Have we connected on Facebook or Twitter yet? I hope you enjoy your stay!

Jonathan Sprout American Heroes #3Have you had the chance to hear about Jonathan Sprout? Well, you may just be hearing more of and from him after the Grammy Awards this weekend! That’s because he has been nominated by the Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences for his album American Heroes #3 in the Best Musical Album for Children category.

I was recently given the chance to review the American Heroes #3 and I must say that it is very entertaining to listen to. I have to admit though that had I not looked at the CD booklet, I probably wouldn’t have known over half of the people he was singing about. I mean I had heard of them… Jonas Salk, George Washington Carver, Jane Addams (heck I went to Jane Addams middle school!!) and others. I did figure out the songs about Milton Hershey (um hello… chocolate… yum!!) and Pocahontas though, so I guess I did learn something in school ;)

Noah naturally had fun listening to the CD and gave it his wiggle of approval – grunting at me to play it again when it was over! You all know that I love things that not only entertain him, but also help educate him at the same time and this CD is no exception to that!

You don’t just have to take my word on it though… besides being nominated for a Grammy in the Best Musical Album for Children category, American Heroes #3 has been honored with these seven awards:  NAPPA (National Association of Parenting Publications) Gold Award, Parents’ Choice Recommended Award, iParenting Media Award, Dr. Toy’s 10 Best CDs, Creative Child Seal of Excellence Award, Film Advisory Board Award of Excellence and the Dove Foundation Family-Approved Seal.

I wish Mr Sprout all the best and look forward to hearing more from him!!
