Hi and welcome! Please… sit back and relax and have a snack… I’ve even got blankets if you’re chilly. I can put on a pot of coffee, but I must warn you – I’m not a coffee drinker so it may be a little strong.

Let me introduce myself… I’m Michaela, or as my blog title calls me – Mama Michie. I’m a 32 year old mother, wife, student, aspiring June Cleaver (and failing miserably at it!) and yes… blogger.

I started blogging back in August 2008, shortly after my son was born. What began as an online journal of sorts meant to document his achievements and milestones has grown into something bigger. I soon found that I wanted to write about more than just Noah’s developments (while I love my son to death, there is more to me than just that!). I’ve always loved to write and soon found blogging to be not only a good release for the writing itch, but also a great way to stay awake during the late night nursing sessions! I’ve found this place to be the spot where I can vent (to a degree), seek advice, admit to my failures and yes… show off my son. I keep it real and don’t try to be someone who I’m not. In addition to writing about my family and my thoughts, I also post product reviews and giveaways, though that’s not what this blog is all about.

While you’re here, let me introduce you to the rest of the family…

This little guy will call me “Mama” or even “Mami” (that’s the more affectionate German version)…  if and when he would ever learn to talk that is. Noah is the reason why I started blogging.

(and yes I do realize that this is an older picture of Noah, but I just love that little cheesy tooth(less)y smile!)

This little alien munchkin is still growing and working hard on making her debut into our little family… that should be happening sometime early April.

Ahh… my husband, the man of my dreams, my best friend and the best father any woman could ask for… I am so happy to be able to share my life with him!
