The firefighter on the far left of the screenshot there is my brother… he’s a volunteer firefighter in NC who luckily was unhurt in a training burn gone wrong. Though we may not agree about everything and though those differences have caused problems, we’re still family and I love and miss him.

This giraffe was given to us by a friend of the family… who just happens to be my former 9th grade English teacher!! She loves giraffes and bought this one for Noah… I know that I have a picture of him trying to eat it posted on here somewhere!
Anyway… Abby decided to play with it one day… which meant that I also let her play with it while she was in her swing. A few minutes later I found the two of them like this…
You won’t find photo’s of the edible kind… not here at least.
Abby has learned how to blow raspberries and was loves showing off her new talent.

Over the past few weeks, Ray has spent time demolishing what used to be our guest/Noah’s bathroom. I’m glad that he has been doing it, because I would not have wanted to have to pull out every single one of these bad boys…
We braved the heat and humidity last week to go out to the park. After sweating it out for 30 minutes at 10 in the morning (there was a heat index of 110 that day!), I decided to call it quits and go home… not because of the heat though. It was because my son was playing like this:
We bought Noah his first set of drums for his birthday…
he’s never played the drums before…
he immediately picked up the drumsticks and started banging on the cymbal…
I think we picked out the perfect gift!

While her brother was busy coloring on the driveway, Abby humored me with a little mini photo shoot. It was just days before her 5 month birthday, the weather was beautiful… not too hot and not at all humid… there was a gentle breeze in the air and a smile on my daughters face… but that is nothing new to her! She’s my happy little baby

It’s not the sharpest of all pictures, but Noah was so excited to “help” daddy with our bathroom remodel, that this was the best photo I got! (Noah’s helping consisted of him playing in the loft with his little people and fish finger puppets!!)

Soooo… in an effort to try and get Noah to go to bed easier and sleep better at night, we decided it was time to move Abby into Noah’s room… well their room. The first night was interesting with Abby fussing every few minutes, while Noah stayed in his bed. I had told him that they were having a slumber party, not that he knew what that meant.
I woke up the other morning to find that my arm felt sore, like it was bruised. I looked, but didn’t see any marks so I just sort of forgot about it until latter in the day when I saw this:
