Before I write anything else, I want to say thank you for all of the kind comments on the previous two posts. Those first two days were very hard… very hard. It’s getting easier though and I can even say that yesterday and today {so far} have been good days. I think it may have helped that Ray stayed home yesterday… it helped keep my mind off of “things” and that is exactly what I need right now. Today has been good because it is almost 50 degrees here {!!!} so the kids and I were able to spend a glorious hour outside this morning enjoying the warmth and sunshine.
Noah has a few taekwondo classes under his belt now. So far, he’s been there 3 times and loves it. He looks so adorable in his little uniform (yes I am biased). It’s soooo big on him… I rolled the sleeves, pant legs, waist and pulled the shirt up with the belt in order to make it fit… it’s a hack job but it works!!! =)
Can anyone (other than Ray and Noah) finish the lyrics for me?!? If you can then you your children are as hooked on Phineas and Ferb as we are Noah is. I had seen an episode back before we got rid of cable (almost a year ago), but Noah was too young, so it didn’t catch on here in the Krause house… until last week that is.
I was putting away the dirty dishes last night, when it hit me… I am the mother of a two year old toddler, who at this very minute is sleeping in a twin bed all by himself! A wave of emotion ran over me at that moment and I had to swallow hard and fight back the tears, because as much as I would like to deny it, my son is growing up.
HAIR!!!
It’s been hot here in the Midwest. The temperature has been rising up to the high 80′s to low 90′s for the past few days now but factor in the humidity and it feels more like high 90′s to low 100′s… that’s just plain ol’ oppressively hot. While I’m loving the sunshine, I’m not a fan of feeling like you’ve walked into a sauna as soon as you open the front door.
We’re lucky to have a Regal Cinema’s theater here in our town… why? Because during the summer they have the Free Family Film Festival, meaning that every Tuesday and Wednesday from now until sometime in August they’re showing a G and PG rated movie that you can go and watch for FREE!!! (I love free!!)
It’s come to that time… we are attempting to potty train Noah. I would love it if he was out of diapers by the time the baby is born. I hate to think of having to change 2 dirty butts! So I’ve given him… and myself… a goal… to have the box of diapers that I bought last week at Sam’s Club be his last box of daytime diapers.
